Bush Fire Shutters – Protect Your Property

When it comes to bush fires, it’s better to be safe than sorry. While there is a lot that we cannot predict, you home is your home, and you want to be safe in the knowledge that you have done all you can to protect yourself and your loved ones if a fire were to strike.

Roller shutters are an incredibly versatile investment: they protect against the rays of the sun, offer insulation in the colder months, deter intruders and reduce noise pollution. Here at Sabre Shutters, we are proud to stock specialist bush fire shutters, which offer increased protection against the dangerous potential of bush fires.

Our bush fire shutters are rated at BAL40, and pass the new Australian standard AS 3959-2009 1530 8.1. They are manufactured from double walled extruded aluminium, meaning they are extremely resistant to burning. They are non-combustible and when incorporated with BAL 40 windows, are deemed to be compliant when building in FZ conditions.

Bush Fire Shutters: Safety Regulations

If bush fire shutters are to comply with safety regulations, they must operate manually from either the inside or outside of the property. Here at Sabre Shutters, we’ve got it covered – we supply both manual and electric shutters. To be on the safe side, our electric roller shutters a special manual over ride motor, which allows the roller shutter to be manually operated, should there be a power outage (very common in the case of bushfire).

Sabre Shutters are proud to stock a wide range of roller shutters for customer in Newcastle, Maitland, Hunter Valley and beyond, including shutters.
